2. Overview
This website is a personal blog with no user accounts and, at present, no analytics or tracking of any kind. We take a privacy-first approach and collect as little data as technically possible.
3. Hosting & Server Log Files
When you visit this website, your browser automatically transmits data to the web server, which may be stored in server log files. This includes:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing device
- Date and time of the server request
- IP address
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website). The data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after a short period in accordance with the hosting provider's data retention policies.
4. Cookies
This website does not use cookies. No information is stored in or read from cookies on your device.
5. Fonts
This website uses self-hosted fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Inter, JetBrains Mono). No connection is made to external font providers such as Google Fonts, so no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
6. Analytics
This website does not currently use any analytics or tracking tools. If that changes in the future, we will only use privacy-friendly, GDPR-compliant solutions and will update this section — including the legal basis and, if applicable, how to opt out — before any such tool goes live.
7. No Other Third-Party Services
Beyond the hosting described above, this website does not load resources from third parties (no advertising, no social media plugins). No data is shared with third parties as a result of visiting this website.
8. Contact Form
If you contact us by email or via the contact form, your message, email address, and any other information you provide will be processed solely to handle your inquiry and any related follow-up questions. Submissions via the contact form require your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time; email contact is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). Data will not be passed on to third parties and will be deleted once your inquiry has been resolved.
Messages submitted through the contact form are sent directly to our email inbox via the hosting provider's mail server. Submitted data is not stored in a separate database — it exists only as the resulting email, which is retained like any other business correspondence and deleted once your inquiry has been resolved.
9. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — you may request information about the personal data we process about you.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — you may request deletion of your data where legally permissible.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — you may object to the processing of your data at any time where processing is based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@maximilianpoehls.de.
